Hubby brings lunch to work and is tired of wheat thin chips, regular chips to eat with sandwiches...we need ideas for healthy side dish. He can't cook or microwave either...has to be easy. Also doesn't like celery or carrots.

Fruit, cheese, pretzels, pasta salad, pickles, popcorn, yogurt, trail mix, granola, dried fruit, almonds...anything sound good?

Pickled veggies: Okra, Dill Pickles, Cauliflower, etc
Cheetos, Tortilla Chips w/salsa

Popcorn (smartfood cheddar)
Apples/Bananas
Rye crackers with Hummus
Small size bowl of lettuce, bring package of dressing to put on top when ready to eat
Granola bars that are made of oatmeal with chocolatechips or different flavors
Pita chips (not same as potato chips-more healthier) use with Hummus as well

I always took a yogurt with my sandwich to work. A freezer pack in the lunch bag and it stayed cold long enough for lunch.

Try sending a salad either green, fruit or both mixed in a small container ready to eat.

Cole Slaw, 3 bean salad, potato salad made with low fat mayo, shrimp salad, marinated mushrooms, roasted peppers in a jar, caponata which is eggplant appetizer, sweet pickles.

how about a fresh fruit salid with cut up fruit such as walmenon,fresh strawberries whip cream on top macroni salid or potoe salid ,chese and crackers i dont blame you on the celery and carrots i hate them too

Does your husband have a thermos,if so then give him soup to go with sandwiches.Tastes great together.There is a thermos that is for soup.Something to snack on after -nutri-grain bars are good.
