Is it just me or does it seem like 80% of the people who post questions on this don't know how to use proper English?
Its very annoying when your trying to answer questions and you feel like your drunk because every question is worded so poorly, are people really that bad with English? If so why not create a Yahoo Answers in other launguages?

It annoys me too, maybe they are just trying to keep it short and sweet.

You missed a comma in the first and last sentences. You spelled "your" wrong twice. You had a the in the first sentence that did not need to be there. "You are" is you're or else just "you are"-not your. You also had a dragging sentence that needed broke up.

We are not all perfect now...are we?? I think you are being too critical; and you should study proper grammar rules, as well.

"Is it just me (,) or does it seem like 80% of the people who post questions on this don't know how to use proper English?
Its (It's) very annoying when your (you're) trying to answer questions and you feel like your (you're) drunk because every question is worded so poorly, (;) are people really that bad with English? If so (,) why not create a Yahoo Answers ("Yahoo! Answers") in other launguages (languages)?"

^^^Corrections are listed in parenthesis above. I can appreciate the point you are attempting to make, but you probably should have double checked your grammar and spelling before posting the question.

It is a trend in the world. Major corporations and universities are dealing with this everyday.IMing, text speak, shortening things when writing and using the net as an only source for research. Instead of learning how to complete a thought and ask a question it is "how do I, big problem. etc".

Its an inability to utilize critical thought and just plainly being able to just think. Most of the time one does not answer a question because if they can not be bothered to write a question properly the advice is most likely to be wasted in the first place.

If you can use proper english take comfort and thank your parents, school or whatnot for the fact that you are able to utilize proper english.

Hi ya, there are other Countries on this program, not sure about Language. The Universal language, is Love. Which rock are you sleeping under? he he
I don't want to be alienated from someone who can't speak, or write proper English. I speak no Foreign Language. However, I have made it a point to learn the greeting and thank you, while enjoying the great foods from other Countries here in America. I have traveled and met other Cultures, and have more of an interest in people in general. I think in real-time, it is known as Pigeon-English, difficult on a Computer. I liked trying to speak with a person when neither of us, spoke the others language. One doesn't have use of hands to make gestures on this keyboard. However, the smileys work well. :) Give it a go, answer someones question in brief spats of English.
I be go now...be you well, day my fun...

English, the native tongue of The United States, is massacred by everyone who is supposedly a natural born American citizen, with the exception of a few. The problem being that children in school don't want to learn to speak or write correctly. They don't care. If they only knew how they will be ridiculed in the future, they might actually pay attention and learn how to speak and write correctly.

And by the way, you misspelled the word language, but I understood your comment.
Take your advice and read what you said more carefully. Your average American English structuring and attitude is sloppy and mean.
Words are tools to open other doors. If you are not curious and imaginative, then all the words in the world of whatever language well not open your mind.
And by the way, you misspelled the word language, but I did understand your comment.

It's not necessarily that they are bad with it (although I guess some are...), it's that they're lazy. Too lazy to write a sentance right. So far too often it will go like this: Y do my boifriend ignore meh when I at his house n he wit his frnds?

And for those who really can't speak well/write well in english: give them a chance! English is the hardest language to learn.

Well it doesn't have to be an English thesis but some are so bad you can hardly read it. It also bugs me when they write one or two sentences but still have a major mistake as if they couldn't be bothered to even read what they just wrote. A typical mistake or two is okay but I hate trying to read minds.

Perhaps given your obvious superiority on the subject you should start a Yahoo community that addresses the needs of the English inept masses??

You could call it "U could B gr8 2" :)

Well, I live in Australia so I'm kind of getting used to poor English or even no English.
