That is one you gotta decide on your own. Have you thought about talking with him maybe he would understand your need maybe not , are you planning on waiting for him and building a life with him? If not you might wantto consider trying to move on. If it is just companionship you crave try reaching out to your community and getting involved in things to occupy your time.

when both u were together, if he was a loving and caring person towards you, pls do not cheat on him. after coming out of jail, he will need ur support even more at that time if he finds out u cheated on him, it may ruin his life. 3 years to wait is not a big time gap u can completely win him by waiting for him and giving him strong support for a new start after he is released.

It's really hard to say without knowing what he did to land him in jail. Only you can decide if he's worth waiting for and worth going three years without sex. You need companionship, and you need friends. How about starting with just that and see what develops? You'll know if or when you want to be with someone else, and if that happens you need to let your boyfriend know that you're not waiting anymore. I think he of all people would understand. Good luck to you.

If you are married- honor your voes.
A few months and your lonely? You have been together since 1998, what "plans" are you making?

I would not cheat on them. I would divorce them and seek counseling both attorney and psychological prior to making any choices.

Best wishes

Not only would I cheat, I would leave the jailbird. Why would you want to stay with a criminal? I have my pride and dignity and I don't want to subject myself to a criminal, no matter what! stop being lonely and get out there and date!

Find yourself another man.. A good one this time!!

Being in prison that long would mean he did something pretty bad. No, I would not wait any longer. You need to get on with your life.

thats a tough one, you wouldnt want to purposely go out to pick up and cheat on him, but thats a long time to wait for someone, and a lot of loneliness along the way, and if someone comes into your life and you are lonely then the yearn for company and such , well i think its a really huge burden you have to remain true to someone that is locked up for such a long time, personally (if i was locked up for that long) i wouldnt ask a partner to put their life on hold and suffer the time for my crime.

Time for you to move on big time,,jail will change him,,and you do not want to carry around his burden the rest of your life,,don't waste your life waiting,,now is your chance to find a guy who will not end up in jail,,jail is not good,,for you or him,,think of yourself,,life is waiting for you.

If my boyfriend was in prison he wouldn't be my boyfriend anymore. Anyone who does something bad enough to go to prison is not someone I would be with.
