When I go on task manager and look at the processes, I see my name is displayed under the user name column. How do I change the name displayed to something else?

Change the account name you log in as, that's where Task Manager gets it's user details.

You want the name changed to "Something Else", I find it unusual but if that is what you want and you want to use "Something Else" as a name. It might require you to go into the registry to change it.

You have 2 ways of changing your name if you have a network login, you can change your login name in the computer, if you don't have a login name, you'll just have to change the computer name.

Sign on as somebody else

rename your account in control panel / users.
