Would giving a small amount of quorn (mycoprotein) to a dog be harmful?

I opened this question thinking that the Quorn people had just invented a new hot-dog sausage - "The Quorn Dog".
I'm a bit disappointed now...I'll have to have some chocolate to cheer me up.

Dogs aren't vegetarians, so best to give them dog treats or their regular food as a treat. Quorn dogs! Haha.

What is quorn..is it a new kind of dog food.

I doubt it would be harmful, but I would not give it to him all the time. As a one time left-over sharing session, it will be fine. He is better off eating meat though.

I'd be cautious, mushrooms are poisonous to dogs.

No and if he likes it fine.

Make sure it isn't his main food source though
