like it sez in the question, what type of diets have you tried also which ones have worked the best, even if u have made up ya own plan i would love to know! or if u have any suggestions on a balanced diet i would love to hear about them :)

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Diets have been proven not to work. Do this, take a good mulitvitamin everymorning, eat breakfast everyday with 5 other meals throughout the day, balanced of course. Workout 3-6 times a week, if only 3 workout for at least 90 minutes, do cardio for about 30 min., stretch and work on abs, go lift weights (don't overdo it!). Drink 8 glasses of water, a little more if you are working out. Take protein drinks. Don't cut back on calories you need them to keep the metabolism going.

My diet plan is 6 small meals a day mostly made up of protein, veggies, fruits, and healthy carbs (such as bananas, potatoes, whole wheat pasta, ect.) also I drink plenty of water. I avoid salt and sugar. My favorite spices are Mrs. Dash cause they contain no sodium. I stay away from pre-packaged foods and I exercise daily. I was 270 pounds, now I am 230. I started my diet in November. So 40 pounds in 4 months in pretty good for me.

I got a taxi home the other day, & this lady said she,s on this diet where she does,nt eat any thing for 3 days, then on the third day, she can eat whatever she wants, says she lost 35 pounds already, hard to fathom, but mabey worth a try.

i dont have to diet so cannot say what ones. sorry.
i hope you wont be fat all the time as well so then you will be happy. i like everyone to be happy.

Adkins....Didn't like it and was too hard. Weight Watchers is good, I lost 30 lbs.
