This depends upon where they are and what they did. They must do more than just "date". Sex must be involved.

Part of this are the laws dealing with the Age of Consent. These vary by location. For example, in Pennsylvania, if the boy is over 16 and the girl is under 16, she is considered too young to consent (and rape is a possibility).

In South Carolina, if both are 14 or older, there is no problem.

Take a look at the site below.

The only way a 17-year-old can be charged with rape against a 14-year-old is if the 17-year-old actually rapes the 14-year-old . Now in a year, if the 17-year old is 18 and is still seeing the 14-year-old, you could be arrested because you are legal and she is a minor.

Depends on the state you live in and if the parents really do not like you. Also if they did try to press charges on you and had to issue a court date in the eyes of the judges you would probably be guilty because you are almost 18. Honestly if you would try to continue this relationship with this girl would you still want to have sex with her when your 18? I dont see a reason to be dating someone that you would have to live with being charged as a child molester for the rest of your life because of it.

you can date her yes. but sleeping with her will be a problem if someone reports you to the police. whatever you say and what ever she says, she is underage, so i think its classified rape...
