Why does a 65 year old male cry, get vicious, gets sympathetic, then cry, get vicious, get sympathetic in the office?

Sounds like mental illness or stress. I'm thinking- alzheimers, dementia, depression, bi-polar disorder.... Scary!

Not enough background information, but he sounds like someone trying to get a lot of attention. If he were 20 and female I'd say 'drama queen'.

You work for the post office don't you? If not, then they are gonna change it from "going postal" to going day trader, or whatever you are lol! Report it to his superior. If he is your superior, then find a new job, the guy really does sound unstable!

he just need someone to comfort him he might have a problem that his keeping it,or simply hes just acting in his own reason we cant judge him/her not unless theres a Medical findings for him if he starts to be a real unstable''
