One night I told my Wife I was interested in Learning about Jonava Witness. She said she would find someone for me to talk to. All I wanted to do was learn about them. I did not think that reading books or articals on the Witness would help, as I wanted it out of the horses mouth. There is nonthing like hearing about something from someone who knows a lot the subject.
One week later two men show up with their books and their bibles, with a look that the devel would have had had he won the duel with Mohammad in the cave. The two men were not interested in teaching me about their religion, no they wanted me to convert. I was told I had a free mind in this matter. I was told I could stop studing when I wanted to. I was told if I wanted to leave so be it. No one will hunt me down. Look at the frutage I was told. Well I did want to leave. I could not, and when I said no more, I lost my wife, Dog, House, Friends, Work, and myself. After 11 months I am finaly getting back.

Long Strider.... JW'S are NOT Christians! They don't believe in Jesus, they think he's Michael the arch angel....come on..!

This happens all to often to people around the world. I too was once a witness. Then I was born again and saved. You will recover. And with this learning experience under your belt, you could help others escape the cult. Remember love conquers all.
BE BLESSED AND REJOICE IN THE LORD!

Edit...
Look at how defensive there all getting! MY my, only insecurity about ones self will cause this.

You wanted to learn about the religion, but you didn't want someone to teach you about it? Learning about a religion, any religion, requires studying with them and not converting. No witness is going to tell you that they are there to convert you, they are there to study with you.

Jehovah's Witnesses are not like other religions, where you simply convert. In the witnesses, you become a minister, just like the ones who would have come to you.

If you're going to make up tales about the JWs, you really should take the time to study with them, first. That way you will be better informed to makeup tall tales and not just gather and reformulate the same old tales.

What do you want to say? That the JW took your wife, dog etc? That's a lie.
People who don't know us well have the impression that we want to convert them so that our number could grow. The truth is we only want to help people to get close to Jehovah God.
We respect what Jesus told us to do in Matthew 28:19,20 - "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

We do not force anyone to study the Bible with us.

number one we are called Jehovah Witnesses. number two. we do not change your religion, that is between you and Jehovah God. number three learn what a cult is. a cult worships man. we worship Jehovah and Jesus Christ. Jehovah wants us to worship him because we want to and that we love him, he does not want someone to worship him and not want to, he does not hold you and we as Jehovah Witnesses do not hold you to be a Jehovah Witness either. as for as your wife, dog, house and friend and work and yourself, I do not believe that. to become a Jehovah Witness, you have to study and learn about what we are about and questions are asked, like a baby getting milk. we will not hunt you down if you don't want to study, so that is another lie. we are a worldwide brother and sister hood in 236 lands. and do not hold anyone if they do not want to stay. like Adam's Rib I think you are an apostate

First, I don't see a question ANYWHERE.
Second, you entered into something willingly, backed out and had problems. I don't see the issue here. Is the Dog unwilling to live with you now??? You lost your job because you changed religions???

Doesn't quite fit.

This "question" has no actual connection with the bible or with Jehovah's Witnesses.
