Could you please elaborate? Either you're over-the-limit, the card is expired, the card has been reported (perhaps incorrectly) as being stolen, or the magnetic strip in the back has been damaged. Does it not work online, but works in person or the other way around?

Other than the obvious given by the answerer above, have you recently stored your credit card near anything that can demagnatize it? A magnet, cell phone, ect. How about the demagnatizer that most stores use in their counters to disable security devices, putting your cc on the counter on top of the device is something more than one malicious clerk has thought of to be an a**. It also could be just plain wore out from the constant use & friction that occur everyday usage.

What do you mean, you can't use the card? Do you mean that the card is being declined? If that's the case, call your credit card company to see if your credit card information has been stolen. It's possibly that somebody is racking up huge bills under your name. Call them immediately to see what's up.

If you use the card every day, you are probably over your limit with finance charges and fees.

They cut you off.
