Well I was drinking Friday and today is Sunday. Could I be throwing up because of drinking or could I be pregnant?
How soon is too soon to take a home pregnancy test?
It's been exactly a week...
I was feeling nasueated this morning. Like dizzy and I've had maybe like 3 or 4 bowel movements. I don't feel sick at all, now that I threw up.
Am I just being paranoid??

hello! what a great question you ask....

a lot has happened this past week for you..... to answer this as best I can

1) could you be prgnant? yes
- you had sex... whether protected or not, you can get pregnant.... I know, seven pregnancies; I have six children... only one planned.. only one from "trying" five are some form of 'contraceptive' baby

2) could it be due to the drinking? long shot yes
- if you over did it... it is a long shot though

3) how soon can you take a test? technically? now
- implantation occurs six to eaight days after the egg and sperm collide... if you got pregnant the same night you had sex? you would be able to find out now... if you ovulated anytime after that? it would depend on when, and if the sperm were still alive inside of you.... unlikely but it has been documented that they "can" live up to five days... 24-48 hrs is standard I think though as the "longest" life span.... so... if you are at all? going with 48 hrs after? you can test in two to three days and know....

4) you list some symptoms here: your symptoms sound more like a virus or flu....
- I just got a letter from my daughter's HS today;"if your child exhibits symptoms of nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, fever and headache please keep them home from school until they are feeling better. the symptoms generally last between 12 and 60 hours. this virus is highly communicable and can be passed around very quickly. once you have had it you can be re-infected"

sounds like what you have

5) are you being paranoid? no
- your reaction is very normal... the weight of knowledge that you might have become pregnant is a heavy one to have....a life is a wonderful but heavy burden to carry

if you are not sick? if you are pregnant? I pray you are ready for the challenges ahead... if you are not pregnant? if you are not ready? do not have sex again until you are... no.. I am not trying to be a meanie..... or dictate... or anything... just know from experience... I have five beautiful children (lost two or it would be seven) who are contraceptive babies... the "well I take the pill right so it won't happen" does not apply.. if you have sex you will eventually get pregnant..... kay? kay

thank you for reading thru this
I hope it has helped you out
good luck

Your question is pretty broad, in that it is still kind of early. "Could you be pregnant?" Of course. Absolutely. Anytime you have unprotected sex you can get pregnant. Don't believe what guys tell you about 'doing it standing up' or 'pulling out in time' or a 1,000 other excuses guys make to go without protection. You want to not be pregnant, don't have sex. You want a 97% chance of not being pregnant, use a condom 'perfectly' in the manner recommended (yea, it isn't 100% effective even in the best of circumstances). You want about an 86% chance of not being pregnant, use a condom and don't pay attention to how you put it on, etc. You want a 75% chance of not being pregnant, try the rhythm method of counting days.

And another poster is right--you could have an STD. You could have Chlamydia, HPV, Herpes, or even AIDS. Sorry. By the age of 21, almost 1 in 5 Americans requires treatment for an STD.

But none of us know *for sure* what is the case, because you cannot know *for sure* now either. You're going to have to wait until you've missed your next period (if) and then take the tests a few weeks after that.

I'm sorry this isn't the answer you really want, but it is the truth. Why don't you spend the next few weeks talking to a counselor, or doing some serious research (i.e. family planning groups, doctors) about the implications of having sex at your age.

Have a good few weeks.

If it's only been a week since you had sex, it's way too soon to be feeling morning sickness. I'm not saying you aren't pregnant- however, you aren't feeling morning sickness.

It takes 3-7 days for a fertilized egg to implant, then another 48 hours before Hcg begins releasing. Some people can start feeling morning sickness 10-12 days after conception but even this is early. I got severe morning sickness 12 days after conception but this was only because I was expecting twins.

I think you are just being paranoid- or you may have that awful Rotovirus (a nasty stomach virus) thats making its rounds right now.

If you had sex ONLY 7 days ago- even if you ARE pregnant, you aren't experiencing morning sickness. It's impossible to know for sure at this point. Even a quantitive blood test would come up negative right now. It's just too soon to know.

Yes... you could technically be pregnant, but the symptoms you are having and just from drinking. You have to wait at least 3 and a half weeks after your last period to take a home pregnancy test. Your body is just dehydrated and trying to expel all the alcohol you consumed... so eat some fruit and drink some water and youll be fine tomorrow.

Signs of pregnancy don't show up so soon. You're probably feeling the aftermath of too much drinking. Take this as a *freebie* lesson and be more careful in the future.

You should probably drink alot of water and get your body rehydrated. Unless you had unprotected sex you are probably not pregnant, and if you were drunk when you had sex and got pregnant, that is going to suck to explain to your kid. I dont think if you lost your virginity a week ago that you are pregnant. Wait until you miss a period and then take the test.

Dont worry.... First of all liking food that we dont like normally or disliking food that we love usually is common throughout pregnancy. Secondly normal bodily things like coughing, throwing up, severe constipation etc. wont harm the baby. If u r spotting u better check with ur doctor. It is also normal to spot during ur pregnancy which might be nothing or bad too. I spotted during my pregnancy but got a baby. Even though spotting might be normal it could also be something wrong which u better check with ur doc but dont have to strain urself so much. And even if something goes wrong it is not because of ur acidity or chinese food or throwing up.

Did you use protection? Are you on BC? Were you ovulating?

YES, if you didn't protect yourself you could be.

Bowel movements are not a sign of pregnancy!

GOOD LUCK!!!
