Ok, my fiance and I are in the middle of redecorating our house. We have $1000 left out of our budget. We have everything but the paint and curtains. What paints would go well with navy blue furniture for the living room? Also, what colors would go well with maroon bedding? Last thing, should I do any accent walls or paint them the same color? Oh, one more thing. I am also wanting to paint the trim around the windows and between the walls and the ceiling. Thanks in advance.

i think it would look good if you painted the walls either white or blue with different shades of blue. you can also paint the trim white if you chose to do the shades ot even a very very light blue if you chose to do it white. with maroon bedding...i think some kind of orangy color will look good. hope i was of any help! :)

In the livingroom I would go with a soft yellow or a beige/tan or even an off white would look good with a navy living room set depending on your furniture style and decor.

Again I dont know what style your are contemporary or traditional etc or what you want to be, but a nice grey, beige, you could even go into the pinky maroon family for the bedroom depending on what mood you want to convey.

I would do all of the trim a white or off white especially in your livingroom since you have crown moulding (between the walls and the ceilings) which tends to give a more formal or elegant look.

If you have any angles in either of the rooms or a large expansive wall in comparision to the other walls in the room you may want to accent a wall. To do that I would pick an accent color that is in the wheel of color you choose from.

Paint the walls a pretty beige to compliment the living room furniture and the bedroom bedding. The neutral beige walls would allow you to go with any color curtains that would compliment navy and maroon. You could choose a color to paint around your windows and baseboards. You would have to choose that color on your own because it is difficult without knowing the color of your carpet.

Since it is spring I think yellow is a good choice but there is about a million different colors of yellow some yellows have black in it some have red some have gray some orange I choose chiffon yellow with white on the crown molding base boards it is very clean looking and does not look bad at all the bedroom I used a blue green very light dont have maroon in there went with total white sheets bedspread etc.... Maroon maybe a bone color or a great color is called Pony tail at Loews it goes with everything

Beige/neutral colors will DEFINITELY go with your navy blue furniture/maroon bedding. Trust me, it will make your room spacious, elegant, and very warming. I don't think you would have to do any accent... You can paint your trims a darker shade of color you're painting your walls.

Any shade of yellow will go well with both blue and maroon. It can be as light as you want to keep an open feeling.
Trim should almost always be white or a shade of white. It looks clean and fresh.
An accent wall in a deeper shade of your main choice would do well but a huge difference is up to you. It's a risk but it often turns out well.
Good luck

The Trim for both rooms: White
