I'm hoping you at least have a whelping box ready for her because it sounds like now's the time to show it to her, let her get comfortable and start nesting. It needs to be in a warm, quiet room in the house - put lots of newspapers in that you can change as they get soaked.

Then just stay close to her in case she wants or needs your help whelping. Make sure puppies' noses and mouths are clear and they're breathing once they're born. Count the placentas to make sure she delivers one for every puppy born.

the key here is the length of time; if she does it for a short time then they are like braxon contradictions and the uterus is just getting ready; if she is in labor , this will continue and will not stop; you should have already provided her with a quiet place to have puppies; we had a birthing box long before the time , improvise with something in the house large low plastic container lid , a wooden box, etc (put plastic underneath the bedding); a cardboard box will get soil but for now you can use that with plastic beneath the box and old bedding no longer needed for her to feel comfortable for the best spot for puppies; she will eat the placenta and clean the area and the pups ; thereafter just let things settle down and everyone relax and nurse; depending on the dog, she will not want you to touch them or she will move them when you least expect it to a spot where she won't be interfered with nor her pups so that is why it is best to have this all ready; I just put clean bedding on top not to disturb the area ; once she feels comfortable , next day, you can change the bedding ,then once to twice a day ; no bathing , minimal touching of pups so no rejection of them; some moms won't leave them so you have to get her to go out to bathroom ; water , food - she may not be interested but make her go so she won't get a bladder infection ; she needs to drink to give pups good nourishment; good luck. Put the birthing place in a quiet area ; she will eat the pup poop , clean them, stimulate them ; she will do everything, calm is key; when pups are several weeks old , then you can start to get them use to be held and touch that really doesn't come until they are about 4 weeks old so people who are telling you to handle them are not doing what is best for the pups; Mom will do everything, you just need to keep area clean; they will get to know you are there; they need their Mom right now; later you can teach interaction with people skills but Mom will do all the animal social training so let her. I raised several litters of boxer pups.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7iY

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Sounds like its time. Watch her and stay with her. Make sure the puppies get out of their sack. She will figure out what to do. You can pick the pups up, wash your hands first, just like with all babies. Make sure you handle the pups daily, its hard to resist anyway, then they will bond with people. Have some new bedding ready, for after the birth, she will make a mess. Congrats!!

she might be almost about to go into labor.

my dog did that the night before and we didnt know, so she had 10 puppies on my moms water bed. :)

or she might just be having a hard time carrying the weight. is she a small, or weaker dog?

She's in labor. Keep an eye on her and get a wet towel for her to give birth on, or at least make a whelping box and she can give birth in it.
