"And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart."

If god feels sorry for what he has done, he made a mistake, right?

How can god be perfect if he made a mistake?

Sure...okay we sinned, but he regreted making us. He thought it was a mistake to make us. He made a mistake.

I'm not accusing god of making a mistake. He said that he felt sorry for making us...I didn't say that.

If you regrete doing something, don't you feel like you made a mistake.

I know when I regrete something I think I made a mistake.

It doesn't say that: "He feels sorry that so many people choose to be bad,"

It says that he was sorry that he made man on earth.

This is a big difference.

Genesis 6:5 "There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. "

It wasn't the "angles" that may people bad. The world was bad because of man.

It says that there were giants before and after the flood, I think these are the prophets. It's not that something was corrupting us...we were the ones corrupted.

You must not be a parent.

You have pulled the scripture out of context. Look at the surrounding scripture. It said that fallen angels had descended upon the earth and were taking humans as wives, and having giant offspring (nephilim). The earth had become corrupted. Even the blood line of man was being corrupted by these fallen angels. The thought of men under the influence of these angels had become continuously evil.
The earth had become a bad neighborhood.

It not that God was grieved that he created man. He was grieved that the neighborhood had corrupted man. A parent could say, I am sorry that I birthed a child in this drug infested, high crime neighborhood. The parent is not saying they made a mistake in having the child, they are saying the affects of the neighborhood on the child cause grief. Likewise with God.

Besides that the scripture continues with: "But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord." Obviously God was not grieved with man, since he saved Noah.

Likewise with Lot in the cities of Sodom and Gemorrah.

God made man, and gave him a choice. Man chose his own way over God's plan, and this led to so much sin and evil that all of it had to be destroyed and done over again.

I do not see a mistake there on God's part, do you? If you want to argue with God and tell Him that making you was a mistake, what is it going to get you?

God was grieved by what he saw happening but that doesn't mean it was a mistake. It was an emotion.

Look at from the perspective of a parent and child, a child may totally disobeys and gives the parent grief. The parents may feel grief in their hearts and even wonder if they should have had the child but that doesn't mean it was a mistake.

God did not make a mistake first of all! And secondly he just was sorry because us humans chose the wrong way/path! Im sorry but if i were u before u question God being perfect or not i would understand what i was dealing with plus get all the facts not just ones that make him look BAD, GUILTY, WRONG, or IMPERFECT persay. Thank you and have a Blessed day!! But good try!!

CALM down foot what that verse means is that he was sorry he had put man on the earth where the fallen angels could get at them. and they did. But that was the way things had to be. and for that he was sorry, but not wrong. It was no mistake. nice try however!

God is perfect. I do not think he made a mistake.
He wants to share life with others persons. Are you a mistake. Life is such a precious gift.

In Malachi it says HE is sending Elijah, to teach fathers and sons to love one another, or he will come and strike the earth with destruction. Mal. 4: 5,6.

He feels sorry that so many people choose to be bad, and he has to then judge them with destruction. He gave us free will and wants us to love him back. He deserves it. But we are dust, and imperfect, so it is hard to do right every second.

Later in Paradise, hopefully rebellion will be rare. He must be hurt today, because of the conditions of mankind, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God.

Why do you think God planned Jesus and His death and ressurection for our sins? We are a wicked bunch of people before a sinless God. That's why. Regret and wrong are not the same thing.

We made the mistake by sinning.

No, God made no mistakes. He just wants us to know how much He HATES SIN AND IS GREIVED BY SIN.
