Why Do We Try To Make People Like Us When We Know They Don't ???

ermm like fancieng a boy that dosn't like you or trying to make someone your friend that obviously dosnt want to be your friend

I don't do that, it comes down to insecurity really cos if you really value yourself as a good decent person it won't matter to you if someone dislikes you, we all have different tastes and personalities so i would suggest to anyone trying to make someone like them to chill out and be secure in the knowledge that they don't need anyone elses approval. As long as you can look yourself in the mirror and know your not a bad person who cares what these people think.

Its only human nature to want people to like you, some of us try to hard and other people don't bother what others think of them.
However there has to come a point when there is nothing else you can do to make that person see you the way you want them too. Always remember though, if they don't like you then its their loss. Move on and forget about them because for every person who does not like you there are 100 more people out there who do!!

I used to be like that and sit and worry about it for hours but with age comes wisdom and with wisdom comes your own stability. I know who I am what I am warts and all and if someone does not like that it is tough.
You get much further in life if you are comfortable in your own skin and not anyone elses.
So in answer to your question it is the growing and learning process we all have to go through to come out the other side a wise old bird lol

in the boy situation there is no way for us to see that he doesnt like us. because when u r in love his every look or move feels like as if he was trying to get ur attention. lol trust me i had that experience
in the friend situation u may think that u have alot in common and that its all about time. sumtimes u cant c that he/she is a biatch

i know a few people like that its just insecurity for instance a
freind of mine who gets on well with people,good looking, but if at a party or something with 50 people and one should not like her she would go out her way to get that particular one person to talk to her and forget about the other 49.

i try not to.
if people don't like me for whatever reason that's their problem not mine.
life's too short to waste your time on people like that, just walk away and forget about it otherwise you end up doing a lot of damage to your self esteem and confidence.

simple. we cant control our feelings, unfortunatly. i fancied or possibly loved a boy for about 4 yrs & continued to delude myself that he liked me, when he obviously didnt. luckliy i finally saw sense but trust me i wanted 2 stop fancying him, but had no control ova it watsoeva
