most people are blissfully unaware of what is in the foods they eat. Most people do not read label ingredients. Before I developed food allergies, I just grabbed what I wanted off the shelf and didnt give it a thought-the more attractive the package, the better. Once I did develop allergies, however, I had to start paying attention to labels to make sure it didnt contain things I was allergic to. I was stunned to realize I didn't have a clue about most of the ingredients, especially the chemical named ones. I started researching, and found out just how nasty the stuff in our foods really is! For example, red food color, which is in almost everything comes from crushed cochlear beatles. Modified food starches have been spliced with everything from pesticides to scopion venom (to make crops resistant to pest) The list is endless-toxic chemicals, preservatives, dyes, all manner of questionable stuff. Our bodies do not know how to process that stuff, and that is why so many "new" illnesses are around, that only cropped up when the food supply became more convenient, such as arthritis, diabetes, fibromyalgia, etc. Healthy, unprocessed food is the best, hands down. Just because the other stuff tastes so good, doesnt mean it IS good. The FDA has some whacky views about what is okay to consume-think of their latest approval of cloned meat.

Its an epidemic in this country ..It is volatile to us all to take responsibility in eating more healthy...Junk food is not a safe way to maintain optimal health...It is just easy for us to stick in our mouths and say ya we've eaten...Do not be fooled by propaganda do not be fooled....The problem with junk food is it is full of high fructose corn syrup which in this country is at serious high of contributing factors to obesity in children and teens, as well as adults.We as human beings need to eat alot more fresh fruit and veges weather or not we like it..We just need a lot of help to be more informed of proper food prep..and really pay attention to ingredients on all our food labels...if your gonna eat junk then your gonna be junk cuz we are what we eat.....hope I enlightened you some.there are plenty of alternatives for junk and allot healthier. It is up to you to make your own mind up...I prefer to have a healthy eating style plus it is fun and exciting to find new ways to entice those tastebuds
