Just wondering, as I JUST found a great family doc, that has a great degree, assistant Professor of Medicine, and treats me as a person, not a number. He is really interested in me! He is taking care of me, as with Pain Management (I also see a Pain Management Specialist) as he just adds some things as they do work together in the same group, and he also is starting to help me with Psychiatrist, as my old ones thing I am a drug addict, as I take pain meds for severe, Chronic pain, in my lower back and nerve damage in my left leg. MY Family Doc, understands me, believes me, and knows my pain specialists, and knows he is one of the best and that they do count all your medications when you come to visit (which is a plus!) and they also check your pee for any other drugs (that helps me out, as only thing they will find is the meds they give me! LOL!) So, I do love my NEW Family Doc and Pain Specialists, and glad they know each other as with them working together can only benefit ME!

I had one that I loved about 6 years ago but had to leave that practice because the office got so disorganized. The worst I actually have two that tie for that, the first one that I thought would work out well until she tried to pin my chronic pain situation as that of depression and didn't want to believe me when I told her about some symptoms I had gotten after an injection I got from my rheumatologist. The second one, was the dr that my mom has been going to. I thought it would work out for me until the last visit I had with her which was Oct 2005, told her of some symptoms I had and why I was concerned about one of my illnesses causing the symptoms and she didn't want to believe me.

Then I thought I found one I liked because she listened well and such but I didn't stay with her after that one visit last year because the wait time was too long and she was not seeing the patients in the hospital herself but using a hospitalist service. I'm finding out a lot of primary care specialty drs are using this kind of service and I have to be honest, I don't like it one bit.
