Be open honest and trustworthy... if you're young, it's really hard to do, b/c most teens are suspicious of everything and tend to be pretty jealous. But the only way you can stop fighting is to be open and have trust.. and if you don't have this, then it most likely won't work out. And you both have to recognize that your fighting is silly and you want to change it. Some people can't do this, so you might be fighting for a lost cause.

Pick your battles. Somethings are simply not worth fighting for. Look at the big picture when picking battles. What stuff are you fighting about..make a note of it. What's really important to you? I have this lil mantra I keep in my head. I tell myself "people first". Anytime I am involved in a conflict or argument or a need to put myself first, when I think of "people first".....I become more compassionate and listen to them, and let them win or have their way. It's all worth it in the end. It preserves relationships you value. Sometimes, we win by letting others win :). And remember, it takes 2 people to have a fight. When you stay calm and just listen.....it doesn't take the form of a fight. I also always try to remember this - "Seek to understand others, before you seek to be understood".

why do you want to be with someone if you fight all the time? Maybe you should stop dating.
