Are you looking for someone to make you happy? because that someone should be you, your happiness should not rest on someone else's shoulders, but yours. If you don't enjoy your own company then you need to be good to yourself because perhaps your not. Perhaps you can take an interest in hobbies, self improvement whether reading or taking a course, but do something that you really would enjoy, it could be a time for self discovery and maybe then you will meet someone along the way who is interested in the same things.

I know the waiting is hard, but it's true the harder you look, the longer it takes. Love does find you when you aren't even looking. Then again, some people never find true love. You can't force it but you have to be open to all possiblities. Some people are too picky and might pass up the love of their lives just because she isn't thin enough, pretty enough, etc. Looks fade and weights change. Just be honest and open to all things. Good luck to you. I am married for the 2nd time, but he is the one I always looked for and I met him when I was 49. There is hope for everyone.

I'm 38 and still haven't found true love. True love is something that will last for all times. Sometime true love will find you then again you may find true love. So do as I do, take your time and don't expect to fall in love with everyone you date. You will definitely know when she's the right one for you.

Make sure that you are around the type of people that you may want to fall in love with. Take an evening course at a community college, volunteer at the local hospital, attend a religious service, and go to other places where like-minded singles will be.

Or....check out the many online dating sights!

Good luck

get out there and play the field.

People say there is only one true love for each of us..I say BS, there are many out there who are compatible with each of us. You were burned by the first one, it was not true love or even the right person, so you've yet to really fall in a truely form of symbiotic love. Just get out there..and put your chips back on the table. That person is out there somewhere. If you are not finding them in the town you live in then perhaps it's time to start looking elsewhere. Thanks the Interweb that's really possible now..

Why waste your existence over a jerk!! next time comprehend that men will say something to triumph over your. Take it sluggish in the past making judgements, and pay interest to the crimson flags (tricks) which you spot and hear. you have extra useful judgment and harm your self plenty much less!!!

It happens when you least expect it and never when you are looking for it. You do have to be open to falling in-love though. However, life being what it is, the more you look for something the more it will elude you *sigh*...(been there done that, worn the t-shirt as they say...)

Rob:
You wait patiently. "True Love" found me at 40. At this age, we know what we want, what we need, and what we are willing to accept. We know who we are, and that makes us extremely attractive to others in similar siuations.
When we are young, we tend to make bad choices -- we chose people based on looks, or on what we think makes a good mate. Put your age and wisdom to good use, look carefully, and be patient.
Best of luck!
