If a person has sex with several people, that person is automatically labeled as a **** & mocked by the general public. Why is this so? Maybe the person is not emotionally ready for a relationship as yet, or the person has not met a relationship-material person as yet, but until that time what's wrong with having some fun?

I mean, this is what older adults tell teens so that they keep their focus on studies, or encourage building up good relationship ethics when they turn into adults. But once they're adults, why people criticize them if they sleep around? They have to look at the person's situation and make a proper judgment, instead of stereotyping them as "****s".

What are your views on this?

Okay, for the girl down there wrapped up in the Bible, give it up hunny. I'm sure more than half of these people rolled their eyes at you.

As for the question itself. As different things roll through history... people change their views on them. Take slavery. At one point, it was all the rage. At another we were fighting to abolish it. Same thing with "sleeping around". In France it was considered perfectly normal to "take up" two or more girls. But as society grows on the subject, so does the number of people for and against it. In this subject... people just happened to grow against it. They tend to see the negatives of a topic more than positives and that one, apparently, had more negatives in their eyes.

well first in our society it is really bad when a women sleeps around, however not looked at it the same way for a man. Men always say they dont want a sl**, however they want you to put out, and every man i have dated had been with more partners then me. Even though this is way it works, its true. If you are willing to give your self away to every man that walks by you need to be labled for what you are. If you are willing to open your legs to everyone, and have no emotional connection with your partners, you need to know your a hoe. Just like some one acting like a jerk, do you say or think that guys a jacka**, yes so it is no different sleeping around and getting labled. I think it is sick how many people are willing to have sex with so many different people, those people have no self respect, and dont seem to mind being used for there body.

i don't understand it either, i think it just serves as a distraction for the people talking about it. sadly in our society it's perfectly acceptable for someone to boost their self confidence at the expense of another person's feelings or private life. i think it's all very cruel and petty, and really just a feeble way to go about building your ego.

as for the people who sleep around, for their own sake i just hope they're in control of their lives. and that they fully understand the consequences of their actions. also, i would hope that they're honest with their partners, and that they never take advantage of them. and lastly they practice safe sex.

but that's my view.

well, i'm in the school of thought that, bodily juices should not be liberally shared with others. Its like this.... most kids look up to adults... they learn from them, even if they dont want them too. If someone sleeps around, they may influence the young'uns that sleeping around is okay as well.

part of it is jealousy...
I think a lot of ppl lock themselves into these strict rules b/c they are so worried about what other ppl will think of them and they are jealous of ppl who just live there lives without that...I think most ppl would have more sex if they weren't stuck on this...

part is religious brainwashing...

really it is no ones business who any other adult is sleeping with...if they are all adults and it is consensual...

In the Age of AIDS it's inadvisable to sleep around anyway, to say nothing of the fact that those with traditional morals would have problems with it on those grounds.
