what are the advantages & Disadvantages of the FRONT LOADING washing machines when we compare it with the TOP LOADING washing machines. Though, we have fully-automatic on both the models and why the front loading machines cost more than top loading machines.

Advantages: The front loading tumbles the load so to wash them more evenly. For the same load size, the front loading uses less electricity because turning the same weight of a water load in a circle takes less work than agitating it back and forth. The front loading uses less water because it does not need to immerse the clothes, it cyclically dips them into the water.

Disadvantages: The front loading needs thicker door and a water-tight gasket so it is more expensive.

Front Loading machines were developed to fit better in a kitchen. They can be put under a work surface so using up less usable space.

The difficulty, hence increased price, is the problem of balancing and increased stresses on the bearings having them mounted that way.
