Yes, you have answered correctly. But you can loosen up a little. You can also answer 'Hice mi tarea' or you can answer by describing what you have done all day. If you have spend the whole day using your homework, then the answer may be just fine.

Yes it is correct. I agree with Insomne, but I'm sure that you are doing spanish homework and have to use the same verb tense.
