yes, it's like when i left my husband i changed back to my maiden name, passport included, even though we weren't divorced. My solicitor said this was fine. Now i am divorcing him I have both my married and maiden names on the papers. I wish I hadn't took his name it's too confusing!

Yes, make sure all your travel documents is also in your maiden name to. Everything must correspond with the name on your passport for when you travel. Good luck.

You are keeping your maiden name so there would be no name change to put on your passport.

i still have my maiden name on my passport I'm just to lazy to change it! but it does cause problems when my husband books a holiday because he always puts my married name! do you think he does it on purpose?just a thought!

yes, you just keep on using your old passport. or apply for a first one using your maiden name, and birth certificate.

yes you can i still use my maiden name for work and its still on my passport and has been like that 5 yrs now

In western societies, yes. I don't know the rules in every country but generally, you have to notify a change of name because of marriage or whatever. If you don't advise that your name has changed, a marriage certificate doesn't do it for you.
