i have long wavy hair and its usually parted in the middle. i've tried parting it in the side after i get out of the shower, but my hair doesnt stay that way if i put it in a ponytail or move it around. how do i make the side part stay? thanks.

My hair is the same way! You either have to wear your hair in a low ponytail or a high pony tail. This way the hair won't shift. Personally, I think low ponytails are more comfortable. A low braid, bun, or braided bun can also help anchor your hair and they are very pretty with long hair. You can also take some clear hair gel and use a little to slick down your hair at your part and to the sides.

If you've been parting your hair down the middle for a long time changing the way your part falls will take a pretty long time, unless your hair naturally accepts parts well. Try getting your hair layered, or fly cut to thin it out and make it less heavy so that it's easier to part. Putting small amounts of product in your hair when its wet, like mouse(sp lolz), might help as well.

u might have to use some type of gel or balm....but most of the time its very hard to part the hair when it naturally stays in the middle...u could try n get ur hair relax....mayb that will help w/ the partin of the hair

Hair spray-or gel. Wash it out in the next 24 hours tho, so it doesnt get all yucky.

a side part has to have layers subtly cut into it..so it will fall that way effortlessly.
