I'm going through this phase where I have these conflicting thoughts in my head. Like one thought will think something and the other will say no your wrong. One voice will be the negative side and the other is sorta positive. The positive voice is very agressive. Actually, it's been getting more agressive lately. Does this happen to anyone else? I don't study psychology, so I don't really know whether this is healthy or not.

perhaps you are thinking things over too much....
take is easy...
make one decision and stick with it....
you're just experiencing self doubt....
all people do that.....
but if you call it the positive voice....
then that maybe the one to listen to.
we all have an angel on one shoulder
and a little devil on the other.....
and between those two we make decisions....
don't worry.

If you have more than one "voice" in your mind at one time that is abnormal. The friendly little "thought voice" you think with and have thought with who is as familiar as your hand is normal. Abnormal "voices in your head" are in general unwelcome and don't seem to be "you" I have had conflicting thoughts in my mind but they were not there at the same time but at different times of the day like one in the early hours of the day and the other later, when I was tired.

These were both "my voice"; they seemed to be "me". I was troubled by this conflict though because the thoughts were so much in opposition. In the evening I just couldn't believe what I had been thinking that very morning was my belief.

But I have had abnormal "voices in my mind" that didn't seem to be me and were very loud, aggressive and hostile to me. There were more than one voice at times like in a chorus, so loud they would force me to my knees. The voices were, at times, both male and female (I'm male) and were definitely not mine.

If you think the voices you are experiencing are abnormal then definitely seek help from a psychiatrist. There are prescription medications and therapy which helps to get control of and eliminate them..

Good luck, good health, peace and love!.
