My Doctor wrote me a prescription for 25 tabs of Lorcet or vicodin for severe headaches.

Do you think he will refill my script when I run out?

He wrote the prescription with no problem.

I am not a drug addict at all I just have severe headaches almost everyday.

Thanks!

He should, he knows that they are for pain and not to cure.

I would say yes he will write out another script. He knows it's not good to give you a heavy pain killer and take you off them cold turkey, and if they're helping and you want to keep getting them make sure you don't abuse them, and roughly work out a date and write it on calendar for example 25 tabs with severe headaches twice a week = go back every 12 weeks or 8-10 weeks and say sometimes you've been getting the headaches twice a week and other times you've had bad weeks where you have pain 3 - 4 times and had to use more. If they occur everyday like you say then go back every 25 - 27 days. Basically he just wants to see your not abusing them, even if you don't get psychologically addicted if you use em daily you will become physically addicted and must not immediately cease medication. Hope you feel better am a little jealous of your medication though, i love that stuff.

As a pharmacy tech, I don't see a problem with your doc writing out another script for Lorcet. Call the doctor's office and ask the doc if s/he if s/he could write another script and if the doc needs to see you again just in case that the doc wants to change the prescription strength or change of medication. A hint of getting rid of headaches: reduce stress and amount of caffeine - get plenty of sleep.

This is a no brainer!!

CALL THE PHARMACY!
THEY WILL SAY THERE ARE NO REFILLS.
THEN ASK THEM TO CALL THE DOCTOR For YOU!!

My pharmacy is automated, when i call-- the machine prompts it all and I don't call the doctor and get my refills.
and it says, no refills remaining,
would you like me to contact the doctor's office for you?
be sure to call back to make sure your order has been processed and is ready for pick-up.

Don't get early refills-- make sure you do NOT call early.
Use 1 Pharmacy
The doctor will want to see you every 4 months,
the doctor cannot refill w/o seeing you every 6 months.

AND YES-- they can call in a refill on existing perscription.
** if your refill is rejected, then call the doctor, leave a message, for them to call the pharmacy to refill your perscription.

Doctors are so busy, they usually do refills on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

do they really help your headache????
cuz sometimes they make mine worse.

Imitrex is great for my migranes.

I don't think so. You're going to need to go to someone who specializes in headaches and migraines. You'll be given something that won't just kill the pain, but will eliminate the problem.
