Shoghi Effendi was the great-grandson of Baha'u'llah, the founder of the Bahai Faith. He translated many Bahai writings into English. He lead the Bahai commnunity after the death of his grand father, Abdu'l-Baha. He was born in 1897 and died in 1957.
