I asked four questions about my homework under education (homework help). I had 70 questions all together that I had to answere. Well I have been working on them the past three days and got all of them done except for the four that are remaining. Well, I got a reply from someone that said I should do my own homework and that I am cheating and that I did not take the time to look up the answers--Well I have been spent the past three days looking for the answers in the book and on the internet. Was it rude of her to just assume that I was cheating because I have seen worse?

No, it wasn't rude of her. You WERE cheating. Besides, if you put a question out there, you are literally asking for people to give their opinions on the subject. Her opinion was that you should have just done your own homework, and researched the answers from reputable sources on line, instead of asking for the opinions of strangers. I happen to agree with her.

She jumped to conclusions pretty quick, which is sorta rude, but don't let it get to you. People here do stuff like that all the time, don't pay attention to it. If you really want to prevent it, next time add a line "I've been looking for this for three days, I really tried and I still can't find it, could someone help me with......" But really it's not worth getting upset about, some assumption from a total stranger who didn't know anything about your work at all....

Nah , you did the right thing after all you tried your best . There is nothing wrong in asking someone help since you can't do it on your own. Anyway finally you would end up asking your teach if you can't find the answer anywhere , is that cheating ??

The problem i have with some of the People who ask ? is that the answers are so easily found on the Internet.why can't they try looking first and then ask for help.what would also be helpful is if people would not answer the ?'s they should be directing the asker to the proper source and site so that they can find if for themselves.

Well take it this way. She was concerned about you having to learn. We do homework to learn stuff.

I won't blame you either. If you honestly made the effort to find the answer and you did not and you were asking people about it then I appriciate you for your persistance to do it and learn it.

Its one of those things when both people are right but just its misunderstanding. In this case I would not say she was rude and I would say she was concerned that you had to learn.

Lets think about it in a nice way:)

Yes, hon I do think she was being rude, but maybe you should have explained how hard you have been working in your question just like you did here. I don't see anything wrong in asking for help as long as you have done your best to find the answer on your own first. I hope you find your answers and do well in school. God bless you!

in all fairness- some of the questions I see asked for Homework help- kind of scare me- I mean if you have a computer and are able to ask on Yahoo- you could even more easily go to Wikpedia or some other source-

Most of the questions don't seem to be about somebody being stumped- they seem to be about somebody who cannot even take the most minor effort to just look up something

I can see her side of it because there are a lot of kids who are lazy and just don't want to do their homework, they want the easy way out. But you can't let everything people say to you bother you either. You know the situation and that is all that should matter.

I think it's cheating too, and that you should be doing your own homework, not having someone else give you answers.

Ask your teacher. Tell him/her that you answered 66 questions but you got the rest of the answers online. Will he/she think you cheated. I believe so.
