In what state?

For New Jersey, I could not find anything that says a DUI would bar you, but I didn't spend a lot of time looking.

hi Mike, properly this is form of a trick question. With 2 non-commercial DUIs you will get carry of a CDL although your possibilities of working as a truck driving force are narrow, surprisingly for the reason that they are cutting-edge convictions. maximum trucking agencies will want a 5 to ten 3 hundred and sixty 5 days span out of your DUI and that i at the instant don't be attentive to of any that ought to hire an green driving force with extra effective than one DUI. you are able to continuously purchase your individual truck, which i do no longer advise to every person only commencing out, although the coverage fee might certainly consume up your revenue.

You can take the courses and the tests for a CDL, and get the endorsement for your license, but the job is a different story. Since the companies where you might work give the courses, there is another obstacle. Passenger endorsement would be harder to obtain with the DUI.

Depends on the state but you should be able to and the other thing to consider is if the DUI is recent you may not get hired by any companies

most states it depends on when your conviction was. Usually if it was with 3 years, you wont be able to get the CDL.
Also, whther you get the license or not. A lot of companies you would be driving for wont hire you if you have such record.

You didn't mention what state you were in... but my knee-jerk reaction is to say probably not, based upon my experience as a police officer.

I would suggest you look at your state's DMV website.

Good luck!
