if u measere say 20 inchsquare from diagonal corner to diagonal corner shouldnt it measere 20 inhes there as well?

ok yes thats what i am finding, ill need to make my diagonals longer, to aquire, 20 inches actually a bit over 20 inches. but i need to be pretty exact. its for a cubical quad antenna, so whts the formula please? how do i find out how long my 2 diagonal dowel rods need to be

A square should have all four sides equal and both diagonals equal. But the measurement of diagonals and sides will not be equal. The measurement of diagonals will be root 2 times more than its side. A 20" square will have nearly 28" diagonal.

Yes if you want to make sure it is square the measurment from the opposing corners must be equal-also use 3, 4, 5, rule
