I just joined the Navy, scheduled to leave for basic training in June. A week after I swore in and signed my contract my Navy recruiter calls me and says that MEPS did my background check and I have a warrant from not completing my community service hours from a "Theft Under $300" charge from 1998, but my recruiter, a few other people and i have called the central processing staion, the court houses, court clerks, and police stations, and they all say there is no record of me having any warrants. Now the Navy might not want to take me in, how is this possible???

You have asked this same question, with the variance of you knew you had outstanding warrants, the recruiter told you to lie, to filling out waivers, and now this FBI crap.

You are too stupid to be in the military. Go catch the bus for school..............

Ask the feds to produce a copy of the record because you can't find it in any other system. Remember tho, the FBI can dig deep. Did you have a 1998 charge for which you were supposed to do community service. Find you probation officer and see if he has records.

Maybe going to the town prosecuter would help more than asking the same question here over and over

Sounds to me like the FBI (Federal Bureau of Idiots) got yet another thing wrong. You might wanna contact the ACLU to see if they can help. They might not be able to, but they might also put you in contact with someone that can.

You need to contact the prosecuting attorney. If there are records they will have them. If that goes nowhere they can also have it removed!

It's a bench warrant, not a criminal one! Clear it up!
