A Psychologist is not a member of clergy. A Psychologist does not council through religion.

Don't worry. Most school psychologists don't actually counsel or get involved with kids. At least not in this part of the country. They're mostly administrative personnel.

I personally think we need more counseling psychologists and licensed social workers in schools.

Are you talking about public schools or private schools?
It would be quite unconstitutional for a public school to support any religion. It would also be quite wrong.
After all, there are big students, there are little students, in between students, smart students, dumb students, christian students, jewish students, moslem students, pagan students, white students, gay students, black students, yellow students, students with lots of hair, and students with nothing but flare! It would be very wrong to try to force a religion on any of the non-Christian students who happen to make up at least 75% of the student body in the United States.

Well a Christian Pastor may not do much good in a school that is mostly Jewish or Mormon or Muslim, now, would it!

Because a psychologist tells you to believe in yourself. A pastor tells you to believe in some mythical imaginary thing. People who believe in mythical imaginary things need help.
