OMG, my mom use to make the same stuff, it was horrible..I can't believe moms are still making that crap.....beans are a good source of fiber and iron, but you need to be having lots of fruits and veggies, and low fat protein too. Believe it or not 2 cups of a skim or low fat milk are good for you too. Lots of water and low sugar....the more variety the healthier you'll be. My moms 7bean soup recipe disappeared...hmmmmm I wonder where it went :o)

I would guess vegetable's raw and cooked and fruit, all I know is my daughter is a salad and veggie eater with oatmeal in the morning and she is in really good shape.plus she work's out at a gym every day.
