For the trip of a lifetime I would travel east to west
and end up in Vancouver, B.C

Then travel highway # 3 (Crowsnest Highway) towards
Trail, B.C. and back down to the States through Montanta
or travel the TransCanada to Calgary Alberta go through the
Praires onto Ontario and back down to the States through
Michigan.

As you can see there are many ways/places to travel to

I would check out map quest and try different ways

Have fun it is a beautiful HUGE Country

Check out TourismCanada

Tourism British Columbia
Travel Alberta
Travel Saskatchewan
Tourism Manitoba
Travel Ontario
Travel Quebec
Travel NewBrunswick
Tourism Nova Scotia
Tourism Newfoundland to name a few

Georgia is around 2700 miles from Vancouver and would take aprox. 40 hours straight driving

Or 6 days driving a mere 400 a day to take in sights
along the way

In part it depends on how much money you have to work with and how much time. If either or both are limited, then sticking to the east coast would probably be best. Take out a map and choose which places you would like to visit along the eastern seaboard on the way up to Canada, and then begin planning your trip. All states and all provinces have great scenery and cool places to see, so it's a matter of personal preference.

If you have plenty of both time and money, enough to do a cross country trip, I would highly recommend doing so, in that way you can explore both the u.S. and Canada from sea to sea. Again, look at a map, and decide a route. Through Canada there is only one cross country highway, so that pretty much solves that one ... look under each state and province for things to see and do, online.

If you're into the club scene, Toronto. if you like architecture and food, go to Quebec. If you like nature, go to nova scotia or newfoundland. if skiing or the counterculture is your thing, B.C or bust. If you like farms, and cowboys and such, Alberta
