OK well one thing I try to do is use sunsilk new yellow shampoo and cream which gives amazing poof! Also when you are blow drying try to flip your head upside down and dry your hair striaght up like a troll hair... lol, anyways then when you are using the straightener, each piece should be straightened straight up from your head that way when it lays down the heat will have given it a boost, also spray your roots while straightining the hair, but always on the opposite side of the top part, the part you will see, so there's not clumps of volumizing spray. Also another trick is NOT using a straightener, b/c it really takes out volum out. Use a moose while your hair is still wet and then blow dry it straight with a boor bristol brush, which is a VERY big round brush. Thats what I do, and eventhough your hair will not get as straight as the iron, it will have much more volum. and again Sunsilk make a Straightening cream the Purple stuff! Good Luck!

try pointing your straighteners down or so they go underneath your hair when ur doing it ( if you get me) this will make it go out more. you could try just curling the odd small clump of hair with the straighteners so it looks a little bigger? hope i have helped

after you straighten it, use gel at the roots. but make sure you only use a tiny bit so it doesnt get clumpy and gross. also you can take pieces of hair, hold it straight up, and use a comb to tease your roots. after you tease them, just comb through with your fingers, not a brush, and it will leave you with body, but none of the messiness from normal teasing..i do this almost everyday and it always works
