Maybe she'll feel quite ashamed if she finds out you saw her pics. So you better consider the pros and cons - expecting you are male, you perhaps should tell your wife to inform the sis-in-law?

For your relation it might be helpful to be open about this fact to your wife.

I believe you should tell her about it, maybe she emailed it to her husband or someone but didnt know that it still in the computer, you might prefer to say it indirectly like letting her know that files remain intact until it has been intentionally deleted.
