I 'm doing research and can't find info on how they are made, only where to buy them. thanks for the help

The summary is that they combine ingredients and apply heat to make molten glass. Then they pour it into half-brick molds. Then they heat each half back up enough to fuse the halves together...and clean up the seam.

You have to ask the right question or your computer won't know where to go. Ask: How are glass blocks made? Anyway, most glass of any kind are poured hot into a mold, then removed. Voila. My whole family worked in actual glass factories where they were blown. Look that up for a real treat.

Well they (sand compound) are heated up to over 500 degrees and I believe they are blown and shaped like most glass items (e.g. bottles, pipes)
