This is yet another stealth tax by the brainless nutters in the asylum.
It will make no difference whatsoever to the airlines pollution of the skies.
The amount of crap that China and India pumps into the atmosphere will counteract anything the airlines do or not do, to their aircraft.
So this tax is simply legal THEFT!

The Aircraft fuel tax is yet another plot that masks itself as a useful cause... but its really another tax average citizens should be grumbling about

Because we only have the UN-which I dislike-would set up a polution tax, this would in itself reduce pollution. The result must be used to reduce the real bad polluters and clean up our planet even if the USA has to help clean up Russia's nuk mess.

Its just another Mickey Mouse attempt by this government to show a so called 'green' agenda but will probably be spent on more New Labour failures like prisons and the health service.

I don't know but it is proof that not only is the Labour government a bunch of idiots but also that Cameron's Tories are no better.
For heaven's sake Britain, come the next election please give all the established parties a really good kicking and vote for something new.

For British political parties, the easy way for the to give the impression of being 'green' is just to raise taxes. It's so easy, no thought at all. When will these scum start to think intelligently and put in place non-coercive and effective solutions?

well we would all like to think its for helping the planet but we all know its for the government yet again.just like the tax on driving in London and the new one the government is going to bring in even though we all would rather not have it T.Blair's little box to put in your car to spy on everyone and to charge you for the privilege
