LCD is by far the most energy saving technology. With plasma, it takes more power to energize the bubblle like orbs filled with phosphorus gas that gives you the image on the screen. DLP is just lousy technology. The colors pixelate after 2-3 years & convergence issues start around the same time on 2 or 3 makes I know of. Sony got out of the DLP & plasma business a while ago, because they knew LCD would be the most cost effective & reliable & the most natural HD picture on the market. The others look too artificial.

If best bang for the buck (screen size????) Go for DLP rear projection. You will get the largest screen for the least amount of $$$$.
