This straightener is used by the proffessionals and worth the price because it will last longer and work much better.

Ally's absolutely right. The Chi is the best. It is a ceramic iron and yes, all the girls at my salon use it. It's great because it has a temperature control option which a lot of cheaper irons don't have. Just make sure when you use it that your hair is completely dry and you run it through the hair quickly on a relatively high temperature. Never hold the iron on one place for too long. You can generally get it for a little over $100 - I know for sure they sell them at Ulta...
