my family moved to SC my mother was already here but renting a room and very unhappy her husband still in TN trying to sell their house we decided to rent a house and live togather my husband and i pay the majority of the bills everything was fine till her husband moved in before selling their house in TN now ever time I ask about help with the bills she reminds me of the bills she still has to pay in tn that always starts a fight me and her and me and my husband. Feb. I had to have two surgeries and was in the hosptial for a month my husband missed alot of work and pay but because of income tax refund we did not ask for any money from her that month because she was taking care of our kids.when i asked for march rent she said no that she need that money to move out but plans on staying through the month I am glad she is leaving but thinks the way she is doing it is wrong.how can we continue to have a relationship after all this there been so many fights+ three kids involved

i am sorry to hear about this situtation, it shows how most of our parents can just turn so ignorant over time and you would think the kids would be the first to become ignorant but anyways, you can continue any relatationship but you need to communicate with her and tell her how you feel so she can never say well you didnt tell me that. i hope the best for you guys

This is why people simply should not do this. You live with your parents when you are a kid, after that you MOVE OUT. My mission continues here on Answers to convince the world of this.

not to worry. this often happens when grown kids move in with parents or the other way around. when you move out and the nerves calm down, everything will be better because the stress isnt there any longer. especially for you. no more paying her part. EVER AGAIN!!! you will see, move out and give it time to get back to normal.
