because i think i am. i don't drink often nor do i drink heavily but even after one or two budweisers i would wake up in the morning with a slight hangover and uncomfortable sinus. I also had a minor nose bleed but that may have been cold related.

If you were allergic to alcohol you would feel the symptoms almost immediately after you drank it, just like with any other food allergy. You're getting a hangover because you don't drink often.

Hi,
Not sure if it is an allergy but sounds like your body is reacting against alcohol in some way. Perhaps try drinking different types of alcohol on different nights to see whether it is a reaction to alcohol in general or just something in one brand or type of drink.
Someone else is posting about this on this website:

http://www.steadyhealth.com/Burning_throat_with_the_consumption_of_any_alcohol_t97005.html

When you say "uncomfortable sinus" what do you mean? It may be nothing, however if you get sharp & stabbing or dull & aching pain in your throat or neck immediately after drinking alcohol, you must see a doctor about it, as it is a very rare symptom of Hodgkin's lymphoma. I don't want to freak you out and it doesn't sound like it is this because you said it happens the morning after, not immediately, but I thought I should cover that option just in case.

Hope it is resolved soon.

Before some AA clown spouts off with the old "Because you break out in handcuffs" cliche, you may actually be allergic to something in the beer. An old friend had allergies to the grain products in beer that caused him to get red spots all over him. Having said that, if you truly are having problems resulting from a couple of beers, don't drink.

its probably an allergy and has nothing to do with the brew.
saline your nose and boil some steam in the house.
if your mouth broke out--u may be allergic to the brew.

Alcohol is poison to the body. Every body.

It is these poisonous effects that cause the desired effects for some people.

You like me are more sensitive to its effects it is your bodies way of telling you to find another way to amuse yourself.

I tried to fit in with the drinking crowds of Wisconsin 1 sip of beer or wine would cause head ache and stomach up set. I tried every brand different types of alcohol with no desired effect.

I was glad when they found my niche as the designated driver.

Could just be the chemicals used in brewing those "Buds for you".

Try a microbrewery beer, you might enjoy the experience for a change.

try drinking different brands and see if the same thing happens, you might just be allergic to something else they add in.
