my 3 year old got one of the tapes that go with the video camera and not only unraveled it but tore it from the cartridge. it is torn is several places and right now it is just balled up. is there a way to take that tape and load it into some kind of feeder and then put the video on a disc? its the birth of my son so it is special to me. any suggestions??

If the tape is that valuable then you should pay a professional to repair it. Attempting the repair yourself is a quick way to make things worse and give you reason to kick yourself, maybe after you have further destroyed both the tape and the playback machine. Check with a local video rental store or recording studio to see if they can recommend anyone qualified to repair the tape.

yes, you can use scotch tape to piece it together, though there will be a few rough spots. I woul cut the tape where it is to crinkled then use scotch tape to splice the ends together.
