Coney Island is Alot of fun, But stay along the boardwalk area.
The Amusements, Aquarium, Beach, and the Cyclones are all great !!
The Mermaid Parade is the big annual event, its the First Saturday of the Summer, in 2007 its June 23.

There's a Coney Island in Singapore too. Aint sure r u refering that. It's a small island full of trash. There's no jetty on the island(beach assult) To get out, pre arrange it with the boatman or get his handphone number.

Yes coney island is now filled with Russians. My advice is visit long island instead.

Yes - easy subway ride from Manhatten, but it is quite run down, reminded me of Rhyl.
