if a 25 year old is showing interest in a 35 year old woman, should she consider it a real dating option? or is it just the excitement of a more sexually experienced woman that has him interested? I'd love to hear from people who've experienced this...

Why would he be interested?

If he is sincerely attracted to you, then age won’t matter to him. Have you thought of this? Maybe he just desires to be with older women exclusively. I’ll use me as an example. I’m a 41 year old male and I have always been attracted to women older than me. While some have thought it’s because of the experience factor; let me just say that it has never been an issue of intimacy alone. Don’t get me wrong; intimacy is important, but I would never build a relationship on intimacy as the foundation. Choosing women older than myself has always been an issue of what qualities do I find appealing in a woman. It just happens to be that nature made me interested in women older than me. Currently I’m trying to muster the courage to let a friend who is in her early fifties know that I’m attracted to her. Even though she is beautiful, and she’s got a great body. I’m attracted to her first and foremost because she knows how to make me laugh.

Here’s another example: If I were to get a choice between Susan Sarandon and Angelina Jolie then I’d take Susan Sarandon every single time.

Back to your question … The reason this person might be interested in you is simple. Is he interested in intimacy, your experience, a long term relationship, being friends, being seen with a beautiful woman … The answer is YES to all of those questions. Would that be such a bad thing to be part of? I say don’t limit yourself; if you find that he is only interested in being with someone experienced then regardless if he’s 25 or 65 you’d know to cut him loose. But what if he wants to know you and share things with you? If you let public opinion of friends and family guide you, and you don’t give it try; you could miss out on something potentially very special. Approach with an open mind and you may get the surprise of your life.

Good luck to you

I have personally heard different reasons from younger men why they prefer to date older women. Some say older women seem to have it together on an emotional and secure level. Some say older women aren't that demanding and are more faithful. So it is a number of reasons why younger men prefer older women. I on the other hand prefer much older men, wouldn't dare think about dating someone who is 5 or 10 years younger than I am. I have my reasons as well. But what it boils down to is age shouldn't make a difference if you are in love, but I think differently age does play a major role to me. And I just can't play momma to someone else "kid".

It would be hard to answer this if someone really likes someone. I like the idea so much for than if he were 35 and she were 25. Men are attracted to minds too so if physical is there well all the better.

Hi purely on a sexual front, for the younger guy with me, the sexual experience we have is uncomparable to if he'd had this with me when I was younger, how I feel and act sexually now is a whole other world from me in my twenties.
