Okay so yesterday I got a white rose from someone and a red rose from another person. I know that the colours of roses mean different things. What are the meanings of a red and white rose. If you know the meanings of the rest of the colours it would be great if you list that as well.
Also, when you receive a rose from someone what are you soposed to do? I am only a teen so I don't think kissing would be right for me but are you soposed to get them a rose as well or what. Thanks so much everyone,
Gracey

Red - Love and romance
Pink - Grace and Elegance
Yellow - Joy and Friendship
White - Innocence and Purity. Often seen at weddings for new beginnings
Orange - Passion and excitement.
Lavender - Symbol of enchantment - love at first sight.

However, having said all this, also keep in mind that the person that gave you a rose may not have had this information and may have just wanted to give you a rose. Red is the traditional color and the person that gave you the white one may have just wanted to step outside the norm a bit and give you something different. try not to read too much into any gift.

Say "Thank you" with a smile to the two who gave you a rose.

The prior respondent got the colors correct.

From the ettiquete point of view, given you're a teen: thank them both !! The carry on conversation if you're attracted or interested.

Yes, the boy shouldn't EXPECT a kiss... but it sure is a HOPE (speaking as a boy)... but you are not expected to reward them with one (speaking as a father of 13, 17, and 20 yr old daughters)

Congratulations...

I need to order the 2 dozen mixed white & red roses for the17 yr olds graduation... and a dozen for the other girls.

Red Roses symbolize sincere Love, Respect, Courage & Passion
White Roses symbolize innocence and charm
Just tell the person thank you or give them a card to express your graditude.

I have always liked this poem:

A White Rose

The red rose whispers of passion,
And the white rose breathes of love;
O the red rose is a falcon,
And the white rose is a dove.

But I send you a cream-white rosebud
With a flush on its petal tips;
For the love that is purest and sweetest
Has a kiss of desire on the lips.

properly, while you're a romantic guy or woman, you would be able to offer her the white boxed purple roses. yet, while you're a pragmatic guy or woman, a vased purple roses is the alternative. As a woman, i might particularly desire receiving a white boxed purple roses as I cherished to stay a romantic existence than a pragmatic one. it is your determination besides.
