Sounds like what you were describing.

"Pigs in a Blanket" are one of my favorites, but I've always had sausage links wrapped in biscuits, dipped in syrup...

This cabbage recipe sounds great!

I've made the cabbage and hamburger stuff before. I don't use a recipe, but the basic idea is this:

Cook some rice. You don't need a lot, just (when cooked) about 1/3 the volume of the hamburger you're using. Drain it. Get out as much of the water as possible. Then mix it in with the hamburger. Add an egg, and some salt and pepper, and mix all this together well. Also, you'll need to boil the cabbage beforehand. Keep it in large pieces, whole leaves if possible. When that's done, make 1-1/2" balls out of the meat mixture and wrap them in cabbage. Put these in a large pot of tomato sauce and cook (hot enough so that it bubbles a little bit) until the meat is done.

This is easiest way to make them.

Pigs In Blankets
1 can 98 ox) pillsbury refridgerated crescent dinner rolls
24 fully cooked dutch cocktail weiners (I get mine from Safeway)
Sweet and Sour sauce

Heat oven to 375*F. Grease cookie sheet. Unroll dough, seperate into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller triangles.
Place 1 weiner on fatter end of triangle; roll up to opposite point. Place point side down on cookie sheet.
Bake 11-15 minutes or until deep golden brown. immediatly remove from cookie sheet. Serve with sweet and sour sauce.
