what are the know for? Like god of food wealth ect.

There are more hindu gods/godess's then I could list in an answer that's limited to 300 words....BUT I can say that the main hindu deity's are centered around the hindu trinity-brahma (the creator) shiva (the destroyer) and vishnu (the preserver)
Brahma creates, and vishnu keeps it going for a season, and finally shiva destroys, and wipes the slate clean.
Most of their god's come from a point in this trinity-kali (or durga) is shiva's wife for instance, and krishna comes out of visnu etc
