I always wonder if a name always is required of a meaning behind it. But I would want to have Islamic view on it. So, please tell whether it´s must to have meaning or not.

there are many islamic sites if u have any questions... but according to what i know as a muslim it will be better to have meaning....

As Adia said, its all up to you. But if you have a good meaning to your name is better because with that name you will be called in the hereafter. You won't want to be call a name which meant asshole.
