At work we receive a lot of cookies as gifts from different businesses. I've been putting the cookies into a large candy jar, since we don't have a cookie jar or plastic container to use. The candy jar is the type that seals very tightly. My coworker says the cookies will get stale if I put them in there. Is she right?

I'd have to say she's wrong. anything with a good seal to keep out the air will keep them fresh, for a few days any ways. You basically just need to keep the air out and if the jar has a good seal you should be good. If you happen to have any zip lock bags they work good because you push out the air and seal it.

She wanna eat those cookies... Share them among your co-workers. You wont be needing any jar to keep them. Cos end of the day, there ain't any left. But everyone will be happy :)

I don't think so, if the lid seals tightly. If you want to keep them from getting dried out, you could put a piece of bread in there with them.
